Professional EtherCAT Training for Developers and Technicians
The EtherCAT training provides practical knowledge on EtherCAT technology – from the fundamentals to diagnostics and professional implementation. It is aimed at developers, users, and service technicians who want to efficiently use EtherCAT in their own automation projects. Participants learn how to safely configure devices, systematically analyze errors, and operate networks stably.
Goal of the EtherCAT Training
The training imparts a deep understanding of the structure and function of EtherCAT networks. Participants learn how devices are correctly set up and parameterized, how typical errors are detected and corrected, and how networks are operated stably and reliably. The goal is to be able to immediately apply the knowledge in their own projects and optimize the performance of automation systems.
Training Contents
The training covers the basic architecture of EtherCAT, telegram structure, processing of process data, PDO mapping, mailbox communication, FMMU and Sync Manager functions, as well as the mechanisms of Distributed Clock and Safety over EtherCAT. Practical exercises show how EtherCAT devices are set up, how XML configuration files (ESI) are structured, and which typical integration errors can be avoided. Participants also learn how to analyze EtherCAT frames with Wireshark, detect parameter and timing problems, and apply methods for stable EtherCAT communication.
Who is the EtherCAT Training suitable for?
The EtherCAT training is aimed at software developers, commissioning engineers, automation engineers, service technicians, and technical project managers. Prior knowledge in automation or network technology is helpful, but not mandatory. The training imparts practical knowledge that can be directly applied in automation projects.
Training Formats
The training is offered in a Hybrid Format: Remote, On-site, or In-house at the customer's location, allowing for flexible learning regardless of location. On-site training at Sybera offers an interactive environment and exchange with other participants. In-house training can also be individually tailored to company projects and specific requirements.
This EtherCAT training is vendor-independent and provides profound specialized knowledge that contributes to the stable, efficient, and high-performance use of EtherCAT networks in automation projects.
